The 55th edition of Expocasa, held from 24 February to 4 March at the Lingotto Fiere Oval, recently came to a close. The 2018 event was once again a great success. Doimo Cucine was present at this mandatory appointment in the world of furniture and design with a large stand by its long-standing retailer Demaria Mobili of Caluso.
Doimo Cucine and Demaria Mobili selected 4 kitchens with extremely sophisticated finishes. 4 models offering the highest representation of the convivial and relaxed spirit of a modern kitchen.
A large central island, the ideal heart of a space that celebrates the pleasure of cooking together: this is SoHo in all of its beauty. Clean and minimal lines embellished by details inspired by the industrial spaces of New York. Combinations of unique materials offered the best expression of the sophisticated elegance and versatility of a model that is equally at home in the living room. This is made possible by cutting edge accessories, including a modular steel and wood bookshelf, the ideal host for a suggestive mix of plants and designer objects to transform the kitchen into an urban jungle.
The difference is in the details. They are the fruit of meticulous and constant research that matches style with aesthetics: fronts with raised edge (specific to SoHo) and contemporary glass wall units, a working area with eye-catching containers, a black faucet and gold details reflecting latest trends in home furnishings. Tall units in lacquered super matt verde marrone alternated with stainless steel framed transparent bronze glass fronts, all-glass legs for the island and fully accessorised illuminated deep drawers.
Style, presented in noce caffè and bianco artico melamine finishes, offers the best combination of practicality, comfort and aesthetics. Its rigorous and essential design is an ideal meeting point between the living room and the kitchen, reflecting the latest trends in open space living. This model offers an almost infinite range of combinations and finishes (including the all new ecomalta finish in 5 colours). Its truly distinguishing feature is the new ratio between the proportions and heights of the base cabinet fronts and kick that permits “bespoke” solutions.
The stand was completed by a delightful interpretation – half vintage and half modern – of Vogue Contemporary. The stage for a large island with framed fronts in lacquered matt bianco MDF was set by two spacious accessorised walls of cabinetry: one with Materia tall units in quercia roccia (with a unique illuminated open storage area and scenographic overlapping panel) and another wall composed entirely of built-in units with polished stainless steel framed glass doors. While the elegant geometry of this composition showcased everything this collection has to offer in a large open space, it is equally at home in smaller spaces where it inevitably becomes the centre of attention.
